Annoying Girl Talk @ NU
They shouldn't even claim that it's a show for female empowerment
Advice from the show, from these so-called women experts:
To guys: "If you cheat on a girl, don't give her the added burden of knowing that you did--especially if you're only planning to do it once and change anyway. Best advice though: Don't get caught."
To girls: "Emotional infidelity (for girls) is okay. It's good to have lots of cute guy friends which you spend a lot of your time with, so that your guy will always be on his toes"
WTF. Let me get this straight: we don't like it when guys cheat on us, but we tell them--on air--that if they do cheat on us, to at least be nice enough to keep it a secret?! Come on girls. Yes, knowing the truth will hurt. But don't we deserve to know? If only to hurt the guy the same way he hurt us? ...*evil grin*
And seriously. What's with that emotional infidelity crap. They actually want women to be so insecure as to resort to deceit just to get their guy's attention? We hate it when guys make us jealous. Why should we do it to them? Ano 'to, double standards reversed?
Last but not the least--to blame a woman for being sexually harassed. It could've been a male chauvinist speaking on that show! They actually unanimously concluded that a girl who was wearing a thong (underneath a skirt, *ahem*) in the mall WAS ASKING FOR IT. Gawd. Nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, justifies sexual harassment, especially of the overt kind. If the girl dresses sexily, look. smile, if you want. flirt. but don't touch. your rights end where hers begin.
agh. i'm so angry. they wasted valuable airtime, and might've misled a lot of girls to think their way--just because they're on the radio.
=+=+=+=
on other news. i made a deal with a friend to watch all the episodes of PBB-Celeb in exchange for him joining friendster. i am secretly enjoying it.
...shhh!
